Amy joined the Brokerage team in 2020, bringing a broad understanding of developmental service systems and a passion for creative solutions that recognize a person’s voice and choice. In her prior work in Developmental Services, Amy partnered with Brokerage on many occasions to support people and families to customize and direct their supports. Channeling her energy and enthusiasm into the independent facilitator role, Amy works with people and their loved ones to build relationships, make decisions, and imagine and work toward a good, meaningful life.

Colleen has been connected with Brokerage for many years in many different roles - facilitator, consultant, evaluator, etc. She officially joined the Brokerage team in 2015. Colleen's background in and passion for community development grounds her work with people and families. As an independent facilitator, Colleen supports people and families to experience a full life in community, making natural connections in their neighbourhoods where they can build relationships and contribute their unique gifts and abilities.

When Jessica joined the Brokerage team as a summer student in 2015, she immediately showed an understanding of Brokerage's values of citizenship and full inclusion of all people. As an independent facilitator, Jessica works with both youth and adults to explore possibilities and support people and their families to reach their goals.

Brendon officially joined the Brokerage team in the summer of 2023, bringing with him many years of experience and a broad background in youth and community work. Sharing a passion for Brokerage’s values of inclusion, citizenship, and self-determination, Brendon provides a solid foundation for people to plan for and take action to create opportunistic futures. In his role as an independent facilitator, Brendon walks alongside people, their families, loved ones, and circles of support to make informed choices about their life paths.

Independent Contractors
In addition to our staff team, Brokerage often contracts with other self-employed independent facilitators to work with people and families in Windsor and Essex county.
Marlyn Shervill

Marlyn has been involved with Brokerage since its beginning days and played an integral role in re-structuring in Windsor-Essex. She is passionate about social justice and citizenship for all people. Over her years with Brokerage, Marlyn has supported many people to strengthen their voices and reach their dreams - securing their own homes, jobs, etc. and working with people and families to negotiate supports with agencies and other providers.
Heather Kerr
Self-employed Graphic Facilitator
As a sister of a young woman living with a developmental disability, Heather has experienced the benefits of Independent Facilitation and has supported her sister to work toward a meaningful life as a full citizen. Using her incredible gifts as an artist, Heather often provides graphic facilitation to support people and families to communicate their ideas and dreams through drawing, painting, and other mediums.
