Marleen is a strong family leader and is the mother of a woman who lives with a disability. Marleen’s journey includes assisting her daughter to live through innovative approaches. Marleen is a founding member of the Board of WEBPS and adeptly shares her wisdom in many other partnerships.
Marleen has served on the Board since its inception in 1999.
Carole, a parent of a woman who lives with a disability, is active in ensuring inclusion. Carole’s journey includes assisting her daughter to move from a facility long before it was a mandated process. Carole supports her daughter to live a full and meaningful life outside of the service system.

Debbie is a community connector with a wealth of experience and talent in bringing people together for a purpose. Debbie has a strong commitment to ensuring people enjoy the rights and hold the responsibilities as outlined in the UN Charter. Debbie is a parent of a woman living with disability.
Debbie joined the Board in November 2001.
Paul holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree and has years of experience in corporate and municipal operations. He has a passion for strategic organizational planning, guided by values that reflect WEBPS’s organizational principles. His skills enrich the governance level responsibilities of the Board of Directors.

Mason is a lawyer who has a passion for social equality. His thoughtful questions and contributions round out the talents on the Board. Mason lives in Essex County and brings a strong county perspective to his contributions.

Maria is the mother of a man who lives with a disability. Maria’s commitment to the values of citizenship and belonging is unwavering. Maria has been a strong advocate for her son to have a full, meaningful life in his neighbourhood and community.

Chris is the father of three energetic young men who live with disabilities. Chris models an understanding of full inclusion, supporting his sons to truly belong in their neighbourhood and community. Chris’s lived experience as a parent and his background in the automotive industry keeps Board discussions grounded in the everyday lives of people and families in Windsor and Essex County.
Chris joined the Board in September 2019.
Tyler is a law student who is committed to advancing social justice and equity. His post-secondary education includes focused studies on Indigenous and Women and Gender perspectives. Tyler approaches discussions with an interest in working toward the common good and supporting the wellness, belonging, and success of all people as valued contributors in society.
Tyler joined the Board in December 2023.
Rita is an enthusiastic contributor to her community and brings over 30 years of experience and knowledge as an educator at both public school and post-secondary levels. Rita’s passion to assist others is rooted in her values as a teacher, as well as her vast contributions to committees, political events, and research projects, including years of service as the past president of Autism Ontario. Rita is a proud mother of four children, one of whom is an adult living with a disability.
