Supports for Reading and Writing
Offering Families Support for Virtual Learning:
The Enhancing Family Support for Education partners, Learning Disabilities Association Windsor-Essex (LDAWE), and Windsor-Essex Family Network are pleased to announce new virtual learning sessions for families who are trying to support their students/family members with technology and apps that are commonly used in school and at home!
Learn about Read&Write: an easy to use, but powerful literacy program. This program is installed on every device in the WECDSB and all of the SEA claim laptops in the GECDSB. Read&Write is used for all learners – emerging readers to post-secondary graduates! It has text read out-loud for better understanding, dictation for quick and easy writing, spelling and grammar checkers to make sure your writing sounds as great as your ideas, study tools and so much more! A friendly program – whether you are 5 or 55, and whether you have a disability or not! It is used daily by 25 million people worldwide!
