Planning for Success – Preparing Now for the Future
A series of information nights
Are you or your loved one in high school and looking toward adulthood?
This is an ideal opportunity for students, parents, families, caregivers, educators, friends, and others to gather digitally and learn about supports in Windsor-Essex that assist young people who live with developmental or related disabilities, after they have finished high school. Please join in and learn more about transition planning and get some ideas as you think about:
- What are your dreams for the future?
- What career path do you wish to follow?
- What recreational activities do you wish to take part in?
Grassroots groups, local organizations and government funded adult services have been invited to share information about themselves and how they can help with the transition to adulthood.
We will explore possibilities in our community, including Employment Supports, Continuing Education, Volunteer Opportunities, Income/ODSP, Independent Facilitation and Planning, and Community Resources.
There will be a dedicated question and answer period at each session to ensure you have time to ask questions after the presentations.
Please join us online for as many or as few of the sessions as you’d like. You will be able to select which topics are of interest to you.
Please let us know if we have missed anything important to you!
